Dr. Chodirker was born and raised in Canada. He attended University College at the University of
Toronto, where he graduated with honors. He then studied medicine at the
University of Toronto Medical School, graduating in 1985. After
completing his internship in Scarborough, Ontario, he then worked,
studied and traveled in Israel and the Far East for a few years.
After completing his training in Family Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital
in Toronto in 1991, he settled in the Boston area. Dr. Chodirker
is board certified in Family Medicine and a member of the American
Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Chodirker founded Family Care
Associates in 1997. In addition to his office practice, Dr.
Chodirker enjoys teaching Tufts University, Boston
University, and UMass medical
students in the art and science of Family Medicine. He is an
Assistant Clinical Professor at Tufts University in the Department of
Public Health and Family Medicine, and a member of the Department of
Family Medicine at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. In February of 2003, Dr.
Chodirker was named by Boston Magazine to be one of the “Top Doctors” in
Family Medicine in the Boston area. He can also speak semi-fluent
Hebrew with his Israeli patients.
Dr. Chodirker’s clinical interests
include comprehensive pediatric and adult primary care, preventive
care, and travel medicine. He and his wife Shira have 4 children -
Liat, Ziv, Eli, and Maayan, and reside in Newton Center, Mass.
Dr. Snider was born and raised on Long Island, NY. He
attended Brandeis University where he graduated magna cum laude with
high honors in Chemistry. He immediately went on to complete his medical
degree with induction into Alpha Omega Alpha at Albert Einstein College
of Medicine in New York City.
He went on to complete his family medicine residency
at UMass Worcester, serving as chief resident during his final year at
the Hahnemann Family Health Center.
In addition to his office practice, Dr. Snider enjoys
teaching and regularly spends time at the Tufts University Family
Medicine Residency program, teaching young doctors the ins and outs of
office based medicine.
Dr. Snider's clinical interests include comprehensive
primary care, preventative care with a focus on the patient. In addition
to the full scope of health services for the whole family, Dr. Snider
also performs some common, minor surgical procedures right in his
office, such as skin biopsies. He also is very interested in the use of
technology to enhance the doctor - patient relationship. He loves caring
for the entire family from the newborn in the nursery to the
grandparent.
Dr. Snider was married to his
wife Jen during his third year of medical school and has three daughters, Julia,
Emily and Claudia.
They reside in Newton Centre,
Mass.
Dr. Rockett was born and raised in Newton, MA where she attended
Newton South High School and graduated with honors. She was a
competitive swimmer for eleven years including many international competitions and was holder of
several New England records. She attended Harvard University where
she earned a degree in Psychology and won a varsity letter on the
Harvard swim team.
After graduating from Boston University School of Medicine she
completed her residency in family medicine at Tufts University. Dr.
Rockett is board certified in Family Medicine and is a member of the
American Academy of Family Physicians. Following three years of
practice in Millis, MA, she joined Family Care Associates in 2004.
She is the fifth member of the Rockett family to be on the medical
staff at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. While treating children and men
and women of all ages, Dr. Rockett has a special interest in women’s
health. Dr. Rockett is the host of Wellesley Cable television’s
Healthsource, bringing viewers up to date information on a variety
of medical topics.
She is married to Dr. Sean Rockett, an orthopedic surgeon at Newton
-Wellesley and also at Metrowest Hospital. They have three young
children.
Dr. Rea-Lyon was born and raised in Northern Ireland. She attended Cambridge University in England where she graduated with a BA (Honors) in History. While at Cambridge she met her husband Charles and enjoyed many a misty morning on the river Cam as she coached and rowed intramural crew. Dr. Rea-Lyon then returned to her Irish roots to attend medical school at The Queen’s University of Belfast. During medical school she completed electives at Harvard Medical School and after graduating from medical school she and her husband made Boston their permanent home.
Dr. Rea-Lyon subsequently completed her residency in Family Medicine at Tufts University. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Rea-Lyon enjoys treating patients of all ages and has a particular interest in adolescent health and women’s health.
Dr. Rea-Lyon lives with her husband Charles and young daughter Amy-Elizabeth in Winchester, Mass.
Dr. Scott grew-up in Port Washington, New York. She attended Wesleyan University in Connecticut, where she majored in Dance and Classical Studies and graduated with honors. She then attended Tufts University School of Medicine, where she received several awards, including induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society and the Arnold P. Gold Foundation's Humanism in Medicine Award. Dr. Scott obtained a Masters in Public Health during this time as well, and received several academic honors.
During her training at the Tufts Family Medicine Residency, she focused her elective time on pediatric care, served as Chief Resident and was the recipient of a "Teacher of the Year" award from the Massachusetts Academy of Family Physicians in her final year. In additional to caring for children, Dr. Scott has special interest in young families, women's health, and end of life care.
Dr. Scott lives in Dedham with her husband, Dr. Andrew Scott, a Pediatric ENT surgeon. They have 2 young daughters and a host of other family members in the Boston area.
